Reflections, Visions and Ideas

Editorials

Welcome to the Editorials section.

What are Editorials?

The answer is very simple.

They are not a blog.

They are a collection of reflections, ideas, experiences and thoughts.

Here I write whatever comes to my mind. Sometimes I may write about something I strongly believe in, while other times it may simply be an idea still taking shape. I may even change my mind over time. That is part of the journey.

Editorials are a free space where I can stop, reflect and share my way of seeing things.

For many years my Editorials were the long Facebook posts I used to publish. Those who followed me will probably remember them. They were stories, experiences, observations and reflections, often written in the moment.

Today I have chosen to create a space of my own.

Editorials
Silent, free and personal thoughts.

Here I may write about a memorable day on an English construction site, a new culinary experience, a journey, a place, a walk, a chance encounter, a reflection on marketing, the Web, or simply something that caught my attention.

I may write about Salento, Oxfordshire, a city I have visited, someone I met by chance, or an idea that came to me while observing the world around me.

There are no mandatory topics.

There is only the desire to share a thought.

Perhaps that is exactly why I prefer to call them Editorials.

The word post has become part of everyday language. Editorials, on the other hand, gives me a different feeling. It reminds me of something more personal, more reflective and more free.

As with every other part of this project, I have chosen a precise direction.

Editorials are silent.

They do not chase likes.

They do not chase numbers.

They were not created to generate endless discussions.

They are simply open pages, available to anyone who wishes to read them.

If you would like to respond to an Editorial, share a reflection or simply send me your thoughts, you can do so directly by email.

Perhaps that makes the conversation slower.

But also more authentic.

If an Editorial manages to inspire a reflection, raise a question, receive an email in response or simply bring a smile, then it has already achieved its purpose.

Editorials will also include updates about the online projects currently under development.

I will share progress, challenges, ideas, difficulties and everything that can happen when you decide to build something ambitious.

I will probably write about unusual things I discover on the Web, about words, numbers, communication, digital structures and the websites of major companies that I enjoy studying and observing.

The Web is infinite.

It has a futuristic side, made of technology, speed, data and endless possibilities.

But it also has an almost archaeological side, made of traces, forgotten domains, hidden structures and digital paths that tell the story of people and businesses.

The Web is technology.
But it is also psychology.

It is human behaviour, attention, memory, curiosity, trust and perception.

For this reason I will not write only about tourism, deseasonalization or territories.

I will write about anything I find interesting, both in real life and in the virtual world.

I will also try to explain Natural Web Traffic: the kind of visibility that grows over time thanks to authentic, interesting and valuable content.

In these Editorials I may also share my thoughts on politics, social networks, music, cinema, communication and many other subjects.

Ultimately, this section exists for exactly this reason.

Editorials are my free space for thinking.

A quiet place where I can relax, write, observe and share my different way of seeing the world.

Thinking is easy.
Writing is different.
Publishing is something else.

I would like to conclude this introduction with a simple thought.

Territories should never be left alone.

They need to be built, narrated, enhanced and cared for over time.

Territories are a little like fashion models.

We should become the designers capable of enhancing their identity without changing their soul.

We must promote them in the right way, with authenticity, respect and a vision that looks far ahead.

I think about the great Italian brands that have brought the name of Italy to the world. Above all, Giorgio Armani, my favourite Italian brand. Or Dolce & Gabbana and many others who transformed their style into an internationally recognised identity.

I believe that a territory can follow exactly the same path.

But to achieve that, you must be authentic.

Not standardised.

You must have the courage to do what others are not doing.

That also means accepting the possibility of failure.

Dreams do not always come true.

But when they do, it means that your way of thinking, your way of working and your way of building were truly different.

Unique.

Impossible to replicate.

And perhaps that is the moment when the world finally begins to notice you.

Thank you for walking with me this far.
